2010 Hot Dog Oval Race Classes

Single Cylinder    (1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies awarded in each class)

1.) kids120cc sleds - drag races

2.) vintage mini sleds - drag races

3.) 320cc & under

4.) 321cc & above

Twin Cylinder      (1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies awarded in each class)

                                                 ***Leo N. Foland race will also payout $150, $100, $50

1.) 340cc & below

2.) 440cc & below*** ("Leo N. Foland Jr. Memorial Race" oval feature)

---- Any lower cc class snowmobile can run in the higher class if participant chooses to do so.

~~ $5.00 entry fee per sled entered in each class

 

Racing Rules                           1971 moto ski

1.) no buttheads, we are here for fun.

2.) have fun.... enjoy your vintage sled.

3.) no intentional bumping or crashing.

4.) no unsafe actions.

5.) must wear helmets, eye protection, tek vest and any other safety equipment available.  Must have a working brake.

6.)race classes will be determined by the number of entries.

7.)number of heats and number of racers per heat will be determined by number of entries.

8.)a random draw by the racers will determine who will race against each other in each class heat.

9.)races will be started by a green flag, ended by a checkered flag, an orange flag will indicate trouble on the track, a black flag will mean disqualification from the race, a white flag will indicate the last lap.

10.)any racer/sled who goes off the track must return to the track within 30 ft of where they went off.

11.)all racers must sign a waiver of release before they race.

12.)race winners will be determined by who crosses the finish line first, any decisions made by the race committee will be final.

13.)all participants should race in a manner to protect themselves, other racers and spectators. There's no big money here, just bragging rights.

14.)anyone experiencing snowmobile breakdowns should try to exit the race track towards the outside of the track or where it can be done safely.

            2nd - 88mph                  2nd - 61mph

            3rd - 87mph                  3rd - 56mph

 

Can you top these or maybe you want to see how fast your sled is?  Hook it up & rock n roll down the track...

Our relaxed vintage show brings out some of the best sleds around! (To the left, a beautiful "Dale Earnhardt" skiroule designed/built/owned by Alan Daley of Salisbury Center, NY).  We'll have trophies for Best original vintage sled, Best restored vintage sled, Most unique sled and Kast Hill Favorite.  The best part is.. there is no cost to show participants!  Any vendors are welcome too.. with a small $5.00 fee. (no food vendors because that's how we pay for our insurance).  Come join us and show us your vintage sled.  It's a fun vintage day with lots of old dog stories.
