What we've done.....

Land Owner's Dinner Our annual land owner's dinner was held on Saturday, May 15, 2010. The dinner was held at the Little Falls Elks Club and was attended by approximately 60 people. The food and company were great and everyone had a good time. We thank the landowner's for allowing us the use of their property year after year, allowing us to enjoy the sport of snowmobiling with our friends and families. Thank you to Phyllis Giachetti for organizing the dinner. She did a wonderful job! And thank you to all who attended.   _____________________    New York State Police Child Safety Seat Trailer
On Tuesday, November 10th the club sponsored a child safety seat check. The check was made in conjunction with the New York State Police and the Herkimer County BOCES Pre-K program.  Three New York State Troopers were assigned to check the seats.  Parents, grandparents and care givers were shown the proper way to install a child seat, how to choose the correct seat for their child and other child seat related issues.  The troopers checked and installed 20 seats.  Out of the 20 seats, 8 were found to be defective.  Those 8 children were given new seats through a grant from the Traffic Safety Administration.  Club members Joanne Aldrich (Treasurer), Jesse Davis (President) and Clayton "Duke" Pedrick (Vice President) were responsible for coordinating the resources from the New York State Police, Herkimer County BOCES Pre-K program, the East Herkimer Fire Department and the Traffic Safety Administraton.

"A  properly installed child seat will greatly reduce the chances of your child being seriously hurt in the event of an accident", states Tpr. Paul Carner, Troop D Traffic Safety Coordinator.  All parents should take advantage of this wonderful program to help ensure that their children are protected the best way possible.  The East Herkimer Sno-Rider Snowmobile Club was the proud sponsor of this event!  Any club members wanting to take advantage of this program should contact Tpr. Jesse Davis at               (315) 366-6089         (315) 366-6089 for further instructions.
